Mothers Day

We had such a nice Mothers day! The boys got me roses and made handmade cards. I also got breakfast made- waffles with strawberries. Yum!
This year, we decided to have both our parents and siblings over to celebrate everyone at once. We got to enjoy our new patio furniture, grill out and just relax. So great.... WONDERFUL weather! I was glad to get a pic of my mom and me (love you mom), but greatly regretted not getting pics of our moms with their kids. Such a bummer for a picture-holic like me. Its not often we have both our moms and their kids together at once. I'll have to get those shots later... Many great adventures anyway. Reese found a turtle and named him max. We kept him one night but after doing careful research on the computer, we decided to return the little turtle to his swampy home. It is suggested for them to have warm lights etc... A bit more maintenance than we were up for (see Kath, I tried and no, I did not touch him).
Wesley giving Reese a shower:

Things Reese made me... The above is an interview from school. They asked him these questions and filled out the answers for him- such a great keepsake! Its so funny to see myself from his perspective...

More great school projects

The best- homemade cards. Reese rarely makes just one card. He usually makes many with all kinds of art work. So sweet...

Thank you Lord,

  • For the two boys I get to be a mom to
  • for a mom who's always been one of my best friends
  • for a supportive mother in law who loves the Lord
  • for many mom friends who've been so inspiring and often encouraging
  • for a husband who supports all my mothering endeavors

I am so blessed.

Yes you are. What a fun idea to have EVERYONE over for Mother's Day! Love all the treasures by your boys. Thanks for your encouraging messages, Rae... you rock. No news yet!

I love the interview Reese did at school.

How old is my mom? 23!!

How funny is that? I also love that he writes in a journal. I hope Ella does that when she gets old enough.

Glad to hear you had a wonderful Mother's Day. And yes, the weather was awesome.
