Happy Memorial!

I know, where have I been, right? I mean, I could've at least checked in and said hello- good grief! The truth is, 2009 has been a blur so far. And with sports in full swing a huge garden that I affectionately refer to as the 'Minks Plantation' (more on that later) and oh yeah, an upcoming adoption with 2 trips to Russia.... things don't look to be slowing down. Everytime I wanted to sit down and blog, the thought of updating was simply overwhelming. The solution? Don't update. Just pick up in the moment. So, in that vein, we had a wonderful Memorial weekend. We spent it home and got so much done around the house. We realize more and more that we love doing outside projects together and with the weather being in the 70's, it couldn't have been more perfect. I've always wanted to put up a flag so this weekend, we got it done! I love it.
Iam really going to try and be more consistent with this and slowly, I'll fill you in on all the latest. For now, we got a soccer game tonight! Go lightning!! We had fun rock painting on memorial with patriotic colors of course. We had the Olson family over and grilled, it was nice.
Target practice w/ the new beebee gun.

Wow Rachel, look at how big Reese has gotten! He looks so long. I want more on your adoption!! I am so excited for you that this is moving forward. The weather has been so wonderful hasnt it? Love your flag too. We have a flag pole in our yard and I just adore it. It really is something beautiful to have for your home!

Glad you had a wonderful Memorial Day. Love your flag. I'm looking forward to putting one up on our future home here too... in Mississippi, they always blew right off the house! Darn hurricanes... we finally gave up. The boys do look big... guess it's the perfect time for that lil' sis to arrive. :) Can't wait to hear more! Talk to you, er, SEE you soon!

I understand the blur that you're talking about... but I always love your updates. The flag looks fantastic. We have always put one on the house, but now we're planning a pole! So much is happening in all of our lives. Know that we're very excited for you and you're in our prayers.

I can't wait to see pics of your 'Minks plantation' garden. Troy has been tasked with putting a fence around ours. Those pesky deer around here think I'm growing it just for them!
