Reese started 1st grade and all I can say is it was time. It was good and exciting but honestly, I didn't get emotional about it. He does so well with school; it provides him with structure that I can't consistently give. Toward the end of the Summer he was needing more. Everything about him showed that. So it was time. We were ready. And Wes and I get some one on one time that we've not really had. Its been over a week and all has gone really well. He loves it and we all love sharing in the experience with him... the 1st big bus ride (dad has been waiting with him in the mornings), the 1st hot lunch, reading the library book etc...
Notice the 2 different hairstyles? He changed it right before we left. He showed his nervousness by being very particular about his 'look'. ;)

hey Rachel,
I'm not a professional photographer (so take that into consideration), but I think those are really great photos! Nice work.

First Grade - Meadow Creek apparently serves hot lunches these days, eh? My goodness... so much for the milk crate and exciting hot dog sales! He looks so grown up, Rae. And so great for you to have some one-on-one with Wes!
So fun to catch up on you and your family on the blog today. I love the school pictures. One reason Fall is my favorite season is because of how I loved getting my classroom ready for the cute new kidos when I was teaching. Reese will have a great year! Love to all!
He looks so handsome in those pictures! He is growing up so fast, hard to believe it. Way to capture the moments. Wow, did I just say that? Better remember that, because it probably won't happen again. Love ya!
