Mesa, AZ

June 24th, the kids and I left for a two week long trip to AZ and CA. We started off in Mesa to visit my Grandma on my Dad's side. We also got to visit with my ants and uncles. Ant Debbie provided the kids with much needed wrestling time as seen below and Ant Holly brought Reese all kinds of beach treasures from the same beach we would be visiting- right up his alley! Below, I took a pic of the home made strawberry pie my grandma made. This is one of my many memories of her- all her great baking. I also remember that any leftovers she's have, she'd wrap up in plastic and have me walk with her delivering them to the neighbors. She is amazing that way... so strong and independent and always taking care of others. So, these days when she is the one who needs help, its hard to see. She still has the same perseverence the same strong faith in the Lord and the same positive attitude. My Grandma Lollie is an amazing role model and I treasure every moment with her.
The kids travelled well... they each had their own things to carry. They were very responsible for their own backbacks and Reese was responsible to pull his own suitcase. Travelling with them alone, I was thankful they stepped up!
