Happy Easter!

Easter is always such a busy day- especially the morning... We start out with Our 'Easter Adventure Scavenger Hunt' of the year. It consists of clues all over the house that lead to the big "Easter Surprise"... usually being something they can use outside. They get so much candy and fun things from grandparents that I don't feel the need to do the typical Easter Basket. This year, Wes got a big boy bike with training wheels and Reese got a skateboard. I try to relate the 'Adventure Surprise' to Easter saying that on the morning of Easter they were surprised to find no body in Jesus' tomb. If Jesus would not have risen from the dead, He would just of gone down in history as another nice man.. a prophet of sorts- not the True Living God. Reese makes the connection and Wes will eventually. ;) Ben gets to take them on the hunt while I put together the breakfast- usually something I've premade to pop in the oven with juice, fruit etc... After the hunt, we eat, do an Easter hunt with the eggs we colored, then get ready for church, take pictures etc... Below, you can see a picture on the way to church. Not your typical Easter weather this year... Later in the day we ate with my folks. Its so nice to have Tom in MN, so great to celebrate holidays with him.
Our faith wouldn't mean much without the true meaning of Easter,
the celebration of a risen and living Saviour!
