We put our tree up a little early this year (last week) but I liked the idea of stretching out the holiday a bit. Plus the kids are at such a fun age to enjoy all the festivities... Kinda makes this 30 something get in the mood much easier... You may not be able to tell but this tree is a huge mess- light wires don't match (some green some white) and the ornaments are hung in clumps from two little helpers;but I LOVE that.

Our tree is the same! Only no ornaments this year...only beads and garlands. TRULY a mess. Thanks for reminding me that that's ok!!!
How fun. I can't wait to get our tree up. Only, having it up this early means a dried out tree by Christmas day. OH WELL. Ours will be interesting too, I'm sure, with Mary trying to eat the ornaments this year. Love your Santa pics too. He looks like a good one!
