Good-bye Summer...

I am definately feeling it.... FALL- quickly approaching. It was only a couple of weeks ago when I couldn't even think about school coming up- Someone had even asked, "When does Reese start school?", "I dunno". Later, someone else asked, "Are you going to preschool orientation?", "They have that???"... And in my head I was thinking "Its SUMMER, why ask??". Now, my brain is there... and feeling behind schedule!!! Ok, so I am a little slow- and at times in denial... I LOVE Summer!! I think we took advantage of the last even remotely swimmable day last week. Even with that day, the boys were shivering like crazy each time they got out. We had playdate at Elm Creek park (so many memories of myself going there as a child) and afterwards I decided to take the boys to the swimming beach, just them and myself. I'll admit, I would've preferred to go home but I was feeling that 'mom guilt', if you're a mom- you know it too... Looking back, I am sooooo glad I did. We had such a special time together. And it turns out, that was the last swim of the summer! School starts, Wesley turns 3 and the Parade of homes starts all the week after Labor Day. Three very big events in the Minks' household! That means I am thinking about Wesley's birthday details (He wants a "chocwate" Birthday by the way), decorating houses, school shopping and trying to prepare Reese's brain for starting Kindergarten all at once!!! Mom's get so good at multi-tasking. We have no choice. So.... (with a sigh) come what may. Change is apart of life, right?? I am not so good at that, but learning to adjust. LOTS to do today... By the way, In case you were wondering... I did discover that Kindergarten orientation is next Thursday and yes, we are going...

Oh my goodness, I know. It's flying by... I am actually thankful that fall is here... we are so HOT this summer! Although, relief in MS doesn't come till late October. Waaaah! Kindergarten, can you believe it?

This is great! I told Michelle she should start a blog. Let's hope she gets motivated in the next few months!
