My dad runs the 'gray ghost' run every year in the Anoka parade so its sorta become an annual tradition to attend the festivities. This year was very special b/c along with us came our out of town guests- my Grandma Martin from Arizona and our nephew (Tommy) and his mom (Kimmy) from South Lake Tahoe! Kimmy and Tommy have been staying with us the last several days and its been wonderful to get to know them. This is our first time meeting little Tommy who will be 2 in early November. He is so loveable and it was very difficult to say goodbye last night. I hate those good-byes. Its what I've known all my life with family I love. I love seeing them but at the end is alwasy the dreaded good-byes. Comes with the territory though. Anyway, thankfully the weather was wonderful and it was such a fun thing to do on a Saturday. It was hilarious to watch the kids run after all the candy thrown out, fighting for one piece at a time. Every kid for themselves! Afterwards we went back to my moms for some hot soup.
Lovely day.
