Yeah! My advent calendar is finally done and I had to share. I've been working on this in the wee hours for about 3 weeks and am proud to call it done. Reese has been regularly checking my progress and adding feedback- very helpful actually. I took pictures for numbers 3 and 6 for their ages. I love adding personal touches like that esp. when it involves pictures. I got the idea from reading
this blog (scroll down a bit) who got the idea from Martha Stewart. Of course, I put my own twist on it. The boxes are held up by magnets that will make it easy to take off and open.

Very Cool! You are very talented, that sure beats the pull off flaps by hallmark. I have heard a lot of neat ideas for advent calendars this year. I think this will be our last year of the disposable!
I resorted to a snowman chalkboard from the dollar store. Ivan and Grant get excited to erase the number and re-write it every day. Whoopee! Yours is beautiful. I like it even better than the one you got the idea from! So cute and creative. I love stuff like that. If only I hadn't been painting tree balls... for a party I had to miss. I'm not bitter...
I love that calendar. We had a store-bought one that was not nearly as wonderful when the girls were little. You're the Martha Stewart clone girl!
Beautiful! I wish I had thought to make one! Maybe another year....when Jenna wouldn't destroy it!
Hi Rachel!
I finally had the chance to sit down and read some of your blog entries! Love the crafts ~ didn't realize you were so talented! I am excited to keep up to date with your fam via your blog! :-)
