So, I know some of you have been faithfully checking this, waiting for updates only to find... nothing. I am so hoping to give great news. I'm so hoping to get GREAT news. But, we've gotten some more hoops to jump through. Per usual. Nothing too big. This still could be the big breakthrough. But if its not, we are in this till either we bring the girls home, or the door gets slammed shut and there is no possible way. I have been soaking up the Word lately as my lifeline. There is just no better lifeline by the way... And I was brought to Daniel 3:16... Its when Shadrach, Meshach and Abendago are being told by the king to bow down to him or they will be thrown into the firery furnace. They tell the king (paraphrase): We don't have to answer to you, our God is able to deliver us and he will deliver us but even if he does not, we will still not bow down to you! That is where I'm at. I have faith that our God CAN deliver our girls. I have faith that He WILL deliver our girls. BUT, even if He does not... I will not bow down to: fear, despair, lack of faith, a belief that God is not a good God who is working all these things out for good etc... NO. I will stand on the promises God has in His word. I will praise Him no matter what and I will keep my focus on how He is leading me.
I talked w/ an amazing woman today who adopted two girls (sisters) from Russia about 8 yrs. ago. She also had to wait. She also had a long journey. But it has all been for good. They have their girls and they wouldn't have it any other way. What a blessing it was to talk w/ her and be reminded of real truth. THANK YOU LORD!
And Thank YOU for your unrelenting prayers and support. It means the world to us.
