Sad News

We recently learned that the little girl we've been praying for since June was able to be adopted by her father. Its a sad situation b/c her father has done some horrible things in his life. We are incredibly disappointed for her. I took the news hard but the Lord has shown me so much throughout this journey. Basically, we've committed to praying for her our whole lives like one of our own... Maybe that's why God allowed this. There is power in prayer and God knew she would need it. She'll never know us in this life (providing a miracle) but I'm confident she'll know us in eternity. Staying focused on that is huge. Thank you for all your support and prayers. We're not sure where this is headed now but we have no expectations. Its in God's hands and we totally trust that. Psalm 71 is our lifelong prayer for her.

Oh Rachel, I am so sorry to read your news. Keith had lunch with Ben a couple of weeks ago and I know they talked about it a bit. When I told him about your post, he knew how heartbroken you and Ben must be. You are in our thoughts and prayers....I truly believe that when one door closes, another one opens. Your baby is still out there waiting for you...Have faith.

What a tough loss for you guys to deal with. I am so sorry for your loss. Wish words were some consolation, but no words can match the loss of a child. She does need your prayers, you're right about that. All our children need our prayers, so thank you for the reminder and encouragement in my faith.
